New Year Water Heater Giveaway – Official Rules
1. Sponsor

2. Eligibility
Open to legal Minnesota residents, age 18 or older, who own a home within Northern Benjamin Franklin Plumbing’s service area.
Employees of Northern One Hour, Northern Mister Sparky, Northern Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, household members, and affiliates are not eligible.
3. Giveaway Period
Starts December 11, 2025 at 12:01 AM CST
Ends January 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST
4. How to Enter
There are two ways to win, and each has different entry requirements:
A. Prize #1 – “Oldest Water Heater Replaced” (Skill-Based Prize)
To enter this prize category, a customer must:
1. Have their water heater replaced by Northern Benjamin Franklin Plumbing during the giveaway period.
2. Allow the installing technician to collect and verify the model/serial number of the replaced unit.
The prize is awarded to the homeowner whose replaced water heater is verified as the oldest.
This prize does NOT require a “No Purchase Necessary” option because it is not random; it is based on verified age.
B. Prize #2 – Random Drawing Winner (Chance-Based Prize)
Customers who have their water heater replaced during the giveaway period will automatically receive one entry into the random drawing.
No Purchase Necessary Entry Option (AMOE)
To enter the random drawing without a replacement, mail a postcard with your:
- Full Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- Email Address

Postcards must be received by January 30, 2026 to qualify.
The AMOE applies ONLY to the random-draw prize.
5. Prizes
Two (2) winners will receive:
- One standard residential water heater
- Standard installation
- Removal/disposal of old equipment
- Permit fees (if applicable)
Prize Value: up to $3,000.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash.
Any upgrades required for code compliance are not included.
6. Winner Selection
● Oldest Heater Prize: Awarded based on verified age from model/serial number.
● Random Drawing Prize: Winner selected from all qualifying entries (installation entries + AMOE entries).
Winners notified by February 5, 2026 via phone and email.
If a winner does not respond within 72 hours, a new winner may be selected.
7. Publicity Release
Winners grant permission for Northern Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to use their first name, city, photos, and installation images for marketing purposes without additional compensation.
8. Privacy
Information collected is used for giveaway administration and may be used for Northern Benjamin Franklin Plumbing marketing communications. Information is never sold.
9. Governing Law
This giveaway is governed by Minnesota state law.
